If you usually have an annual exam and were deemed healthy, then you can boost your chances by consuming vitamins known to boost fertility and conception. You can do this by visiting a pharmacy for the vitamins or simply boosting the consumption of the foods that can naturally provide them. Some important vitamins for this include vitamins A, C, D, E, zinc, copper, thiamin, niacin, folic acid and calcium. 

Another important step is to ensure your weight is suitable to carrying a baby. When you are underweight your chances of conception are lower while being overweight may result in health complications when you are pregnant. Having a healthy weight can really help getting pregnant. Targeting your most fertile periods is the most effective way of getting pregnant. This is just before and during ovulation. Ovulation usually takes place on the 14th day of the menstrual cycle. Focus on having more sex from around the 10th day. This is because sperm can last up to 7 days while the egg once released is only viable for 24 hours. Increasing your sexual activity around this period makes it easier to ensure conception. Remember to have some patience when it comes to trying to conceive. Only after many months should you be concerned enough to visit your doctor for fertility tests.
